Bootle Football Club’s biggest rival was Everton F.C, the club narrowly missed a place in the newly formed Football league which was awarded to Everton. The club become founder members of the football League Second Division but sadly due to financial restraints only lasted a season, Liverpool F.C took their place. Original members of Bootle Football club also played for the Bootle Cricket Club. The modern Bootle Football club was formed in 1953. |
