| Comments | On the front row with a chain of office is Miss Florence Rollo. Florence was the first woman councillor to be elected to Waterloo-with-Seaforth U.D.C. in 1935, and later became mayor in 1949/50. Florence was awarded an OBE for her achievements and she passed away in 1964. Her sister, Miss Gertrude Rollo, was Mayoress and is standing at the back wearing her chain of office. |
